Corrie's Corey 'set for danger' as fans work out blood-soaked tracksuit twist

Coronation Street fans have predicted Corey Brent will get sent behind bars for the manslaughter of Seb Franklin, having made a confession of sorts on Friday evening.

After a grilling from a police officer, Corey, played by Maximus Evans, admitted he was near the canal when Seb was attacked but claimed he had no involvement in the incident.

The police officer pointed out he’d been seen wearing a blood-soaked tracksuit on CCTV, indicating he was responsible for the violent assault.

Watching from home, certain fans felt the admission signalled Corey’s downfall, predicting he would get sent behind bars for a long time.

“Slowly but surely things are coming to light now, won’t be long until Corey’s charged I would think #Corrie,” one Twitter fan wrote.

A second agreed: “OMG! Corey admits it! He deserves it. #Corrie.”

And a third weighed in: “I think you’ve just dropped yourself in it, Corey…#Corrie.”

“I’d rather see Corey in a prison cell than dead tbh. Justice for Seb Franklin #Corrie” added a fourth.

Asha Alahan, played by Tanisha Gorey, managed to rumble Corey when she handed over his mobile phone to the police, leading them straight to the health app inside the device.

The app showed Corey had been walking near the canal on the night of the attack, in which the teen and his gang of mates assaulted Seb and his girlfriend Nina Lucas in a sickening hate crime.

Nina (Mollie Gallagher) managed to survive the ordeal, but Seb was rendered unconscious, and failed to recover from his head wounds, later dying in hospital.

Corey tried to argue his innocence after the attack, claiming he had been inside his flat with Asha when the assault took place.

However, Asha has finally seen his true colours – and has unwittingly handed Corey over to the police with a crucial piece of evidence.

Could this prove enough to send Corey to prison for his role in the murder?

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
