Corrie’s Helen Flanagan and Preston North End player Scott Sinclair welcomed their third child in March.
Now Helen, 31, has revealed that they won’t be adding to their family, due to her extreme morning sickness.
Helen and Scott have daughters Matilda, six, and Delilah, three – as well as son Charlie, nine-months-old.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Helen said that she wouldn’t want to put her children through he experience of seeing her so unwell again.
Throughout her pregnancies, the actress suffered badly with hyperemesis, an extreme form of morning sickness, which at one point left her bed bound.
“I think a lot of women are very broody and we always feel like we could have more, but because I was so unwell in my pregnancies the idea of having another has almost been taken out of my hands,” she said.
“I don’t think I could go through that again. It was so difficult with the other children and Scott and my mum had to do everything as I was bed bound for four months.
“The worst bit was the mum guilt because I couldn’t do normal things with the kids.”
Happily, Helen was able to feel active again after Charlie arrived.
“As soon as I gave birth to Charlie it was like, ‘I can clean my kitchen without being sick!’ It actually made me feel very isolated and low,” she mused.
“Even lights made me feel sick, so all I could do was lie down. I could hear the kids asking, ‘Where’s Mummy?’ and that was so hard.
“I decided it would be too hard on the children to go through that again,” she added.
The couple – who got engaged in 2018 – also revealed they will be spending 2022 planning their wedding.
As for the persistent question of when – or if – she will return to the role of Rosie Webster, Helen said: “I wouldn’t go back at the moment, as Charlie isn’t even one yet. Your children are only young once, so I don’t want to miss out on anything.”
