Corrie's Samia Longchambon admits she feels 'sad and angry' over wrongs in world

Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon asked her fans for some “light relief” this week, admitting she was struggling with the state of affairs in the world at the moment.

The soap star, 38, who joined Corrie as Maria Connor in her teens, shared a throwback to a summer vacation in France last year, making it clear she felt a million miles away from the sunny holiday destination.

Thankfully, one of Samia’s co-stars reached out to her after reading her post, sending a comforting message to relieve her “sad and angry” mood.

Samia could be seen smiling in the photo, the sun lighting up her face as she placed a pair of aviator shades on the crook of her nose.

In her caption, she wrote: “That’s it. Reading news of everything that’s going on in the world is making me feel sad and angry today so I’m stepping away from it.
