Coronation Street’s Will Mellor admits he feels “absolutely horrendous” as he filmed the after-effects of his coronavirus jab.
The actor, who plays drugs lord Harvey on the cobbles, is laid up in bed and says he is seriously struggling after the vaccine.
The former Two Pints star says he had the AstraZeneca jab and told how he felt like he had “full blown flu”.
Will “felt like an 80-year-old man” after his first dose and told anyone getting their jabs to make sure they don’t plan anything the next day.
Reports suggest younger people are to be offered the Pfizer or Moderna jabs as an alternative.
Will outlined how he was feeling after the 45-year-old recorded a video from his sick bed and said he was in pain.
“I had the Covid jab yesterday and I feel absolutely horrendous. I can barely lift my head off the pillow and my arms are like lead.
“I have aching bones, all my back is aching, it’s like I’ve literally got the full blown flu.
“When I try to walk it’s like I’m an 80-year-old man, I’m not joking, it’s horrendous.
“Obviously not everyone is going to get it like this, but just to let you know there’s a possibility.
“So if you’re going to have the jab don’t plan nothing for the day after just in case.”
It is common to experience some mild, flu-like symptoms after having the jab, the government say.
It is unclear if filming of Coronation Street will be impacted with star Will bedridden.

The over-30s are expected to be invited for their Covid jabs in the next fortnight after vaccinations roll out to the over-40s this week.
Over 33.5 million people have had their first dose – over 63.5% of UK adults. Some 12 million, or 22.8%, have had both jabs.
Reports claim talks are continuing over whether those in their 30s will receive the AstraZeneca jab, amid blood clot fears.
