Ex-EastEnders star Danniella Westbrook, who was best known for playing Samantha Mitchell in the soap has unveiled her glamorous new look to her fans online and thanked them for their support through her “darkest times”.
Taking to Instagram to flaunt her brand new look, Danniella, 47, also gave her fans a very emotional message.
The TV star thanked her close pals, family and fans for helping her to embrace every situation that had been thrown at her in the past, as well as continuing to support her while she managed her bipolar disorder.
Posing in a friend’s salon, the blonde beauty sat elegantly on a picturesque swing, with bouquets of flowers above her head.
The mother of two wore a tightly fitted black polar-neck top and navy blue jeans. She also teamed the look with a pair of knee-high boots.
Allowing her blonde locks to cascade over her shoulders, Danniella looked a picture of health as she gazed down the lens of the camera.
Captioning the post, the soap star wrote a lengthy message to her fans.
“Hello everybody, My friend just took this pic of me in her salon and I feel I need to share it with you all for a few reasons,” she bravely penned.
“Firstly I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who follows me on not just @instagram but on all of my social media platforms.
“The love, loyalty, support & encouragement you guys have shown me has helped me through so so much.
“More than you know to be honest. During some of my darkest times, the kind words and messages of encouragement helped me find the strength that some days I didn’t think I could find.
She continued: “People have reached out to me on here for help when they too have been struggling with life or addiction or mental health and for those of you that have done so I want you to know, I applaud you for your bravery 2 share your pain and struggles with me.”
“All I had to do was send a txt or make a call to my family my sponsor or someone in my circle of trust,” Danniella added. “So many people tell me to delete my social media and not be so accessible to people.
“But I am glad I didn’t do that because if I had I wouldn’t have been able to help people nor would I of been able to overcome my fear of feeling less than or weak by admitting when I’m feeling fragile.”
Danniella also confessed to her fans that the last two years hasn’t been an easy ride for her.
She added: “The last two years have not been a walk in the park for any of us, but for me personally I embrace every experience I’ve had be it good or bad . I’ve learned that my glass is half full never half empty.
“The love of my children and my family has always been there for me it never went away, I was the one who was lost they never gave up hope that I would find a way to love myself and be happy.”
Concluding her emotional message, the star penned: : “Once I started to heal with the help of my amazing therapist @michellewooldridge and listen to the suggestions and start to heal and forgive instead of blame and fight my way through life I began to grow.
“This picture today I feel captures beautifully where I am on my journey.”
Inspired by her journey, Danniella’s fans rushed to the comment section to share their love and support.
One fan wrote: “Keep marching on girl.”
While another penned: “I adore you and I appreciate you.”
A third chimed: You are amazing with your life ahead of you…Keep going & never look back…BIG love.”
During her dark days, actress Danniella previously admitted to spending approximately £250,000 on cocaine.
However, she decided to turn her life around and managed to stop misusing drugs for 14 years.
Despite her best efforts, Danniella relapsed in 2014.
Determined to get her life back on the straight and narrow, the actress appeared on The Jeremy Kyle Show and went into rehab, where she was able to get clean.
