A man was so disgusted at a giant cyst on his arm that was about to be removed that he had to have a cigarette break.
Marty, from Texas in US, had a bump growing on his arm for 30 years which became so big that it numbed his left hand during sleep.
Five days before he went to see Dr Sandra Lee, aka Dr Pimple Popper, Marty’s bump popped and the cyst started leaking from the opening.
Appearing on the TLC programme, the 51-year-old told the dermatologist: “About five days ago I woke up and it was starting to leak. When I moved my arm right it made a popping noise and it blew half a dollar size hole in my arm!”
Upon an initial examination, Dr Lee believed Marty had an epidermoid cyst but she warned that there was nothing that could be done if it was infected
Thankfully it wasn’t but, as the expert said, the pop had left it all in a “really big mess”.
“I can imagine that some of this has liquified so I can’t even find the edges,” she said. “This looks like a lot of work.”

The doctor made an incision in the centre and realised the cyst was partially thickened and partially liquified with some areas looking like cartilages.
Dr Lee decided to use a sterilised spoon to scoop the cyst out but Marty became nervous and couldn’t sit still on the operating chair.
She let him go outside for a quick cigarette and have some fresh air in the hopes it would calm his nerves down.
While Marty was out of the room, Dr Lee’s assistant shares her thoughts on what the contents of Marty’s cyst reminded her of.
“It kind of looked like crème brûlée when you were scooping it out with a spoon,” she says.
The medical professionals managed to finish the procedure and stitched up the wound for Marty.
When leaving the clinic, he said: “I’ve had that thing for 30 years, it’s kind of sore right now but I’m looking forward to getting out and around people again!”
It comes after the surgeon was squirted with blood when she tried to remove a mans’s “ballbag” lump.
Dr Pimple Popper airs at 10pm on Thursdays exclusively on TLC, and stream on discovery+
