EastEnders and Holby City star Belinda Owusu announces she's pregnant

Holby City and EastEnders star Belinda Owusu is pregnant with her first child.

The 31-year-old actress, who formerly played Libby Fox in EastEnders, shared the wonderful news on her Instagram page on Sunday.

Belinda announced that she’s expecting a child with a sweet social media snap and revealed she’s 40 weeks pregnant.

In the picture, Belinda is smiling at the camera while showing off her blossoming baby bump.

The media star, who currently plays Nicky McKendrick in medical drama Holby City, shared the post with her 10.1k followers on Instagram.

She captioned the online post: “Ready when you are, kid #40weeks”.

Her devoted followers rushed to leave a comment, showering Belinda with love and congratulatory messages.

One said: “Congratulations!”

While another penned: “Huge congrats! Sending loads of love!”

“Awwww amazing, congratulations”, gushed a third.

Belinda’s Holby City co-stars also sent their love as they commented on the post.

Dawn Steele, who plays Ange Godard wrote: “Hurry uuuuuupppp- you look amazing B x”.

While Nicky Jackman, who plays Cameron Dunn commented three heart emojis.

Owusu’s Holby City character Nicky is also pregnant as she recently made the life-changing discover herself.

The character had confided in Louis over her concerning symptoms and realised that her heart medication could have interfered with her positive pregnancy result.

To find out of she was in fact expecting a child, Nicky performed an ultrasound on herself and discovered she was pregnant.

Nicky then quickly broke the surprising news to her boyfriend, Cameron. Will the villainous character be there for her throughout her pregnancy?

As Belinda is 40 weeks pregnant, and Holby City films three months in advance, the star is expected to take a break from filming soon.

The actress first found fame on EastEnders as she played Libby Fox from 2006 to 2010.

She returned in the role after time away from 2014 to 2017, before leaving Albert Square behind.
