EastEnders fans couldn’t help but spot a glaring blunder during the tense scenes on Monday night, which saw Rose Ayling-Ellis’ character Frankie awaken locked in a car boot.
She was locked in there by her sister Nancy as revenge for putting a red garment in with her white laundry – and the car inadvertently stolen by Liam, who drove it away to an abandoned car park.
As Nancy casually admitted what she’d done to Mick, all hands were on deck to search for Frankie, who could be seen slamming on the inside of the car boot and screaming for help.
But fans quickly theorised that Frankie would have run out of oxygen long before being found, as Liam heard she was still in the car and rushed to save her.
Instead of letting her out immediately, Liam took the keys to the car and decided to drive it away with Frankie still locked in the boot.
Taking to Twitter, one confused fan wrote: “How ain’t she run outta oxygen yet!!??”
“That’s it Liam take your time. Frankie is struggling to breathe in that boot!” another agreed, while a third said: “Has Frankie been in that car boot overnight? I hope she’s got a strong bladder.”
Later, Frankie was finally rescued and taken care of by her dad Mick – but admitted she had thought she was “going to die” in a tragic admission.
“You’re safe now, baby,” Mick reassured her.
But fans are now sure that Frankie’s trauma could be actress Rose Ayling-Ellis’ latest storyline, as one predicted: “Frankie must be traumatised.”
“#EastEnders new storyline will be Frankie affected by dark spaces etc… I bet her mum had her locked up in cupboards when she was little,” someone else theorised.
It came as a huge twist rocked Albert Square, with Dennis Rickman finally revealed as baby Alyssa’s dad.
The baby was left on Sharon’s doorstep several weeks back with a note pinned to her, which hinted one of the residents in her flat was her father.
Both Zack and Martin convinced themselves they were Alyssa’s dad – but DNA tests revealed neither was responsible for the tot.
And Jada finally admitted that Dennis – who was killed off for the soap’s 35th anniversary aged just 13 – was the father.
