EastEnders' Spencer Moon actor Christopher Parker quits fame to work as a solicitor

As one of Albert Square’s teen heart throbs, Spencer Moon found himself in all sorts of strife on EastEnders.

16 years later though, actor Christopher Parker has definitely left Walford behind him. According to LinkedIn, Christopher is now a Senior Consultant Solicitor at Ignition Law.

In 2002 cheeky chappy Spencer arrived on the Square alongside his older brother Alfie, played by Shane Richie.

The brothers were joined at The Queen Vic by their adored Nana Moon (Hilda Braid), who had raised them.

Spencer was only on the show for just over two years. During that time he had a one night stand with Vicki Fowler, played by Scarlett Alice Johnson, leading to her becoming pregnant and having an abortion.

Christopher was the teen heartthrob of the Square

Spencer was also caught up in collapsed helter skelter disaster and was blackmailed by Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner).

Spencer departed the soap in 2005 when Alfie sent him to live with his cousin in Sydney.

The character’s profile on the EastEnders website recalls him as: “Bright-eyed and eternally vulnerable, Spencer was on a mission to find love – trying to emulate some of his brother’s Moon charm.

The Moon brothers ruled the roost at The Vic

“His naïve and trusting nature brought him little happiness but protective Alfie always had his back.”

Christopher pursued TV opportunities in the US, where he worked for TMZ and hosted Dead Famous Live alongside Gail Porter in Los Angeles.

He also made it to the final of the first ever series of Strictly Come Dancing back in 2004, when he was partnered with professional dancer Hanna Karttunen.

Christopher is now succeeding in a new industry

Christopher then studied at Birkbeck University in London, graduating with a law degree.

Christopher’s page on professional networking site LinkedIn states: “I am a qualified Solicitor specialising in commercial and media law, including commercial litigation, intellectual property, reputation management, harassment, information law, employment matters, rights management and entertainment based transactional work.”

He still keeps an interest in the entertainment industry, as a Director of Business Affairs / company solicitor at a talent agency called Insanity Group. He heads up the Business Affairs team there.

Nana Moon would be proud of how far he’s come.
