EastEnders star Maisie Smith is selling her old sports bra for £7 on fashion app

Former EastEnders actress Maisie Smith has been reportedly selling her old sports bras and worn leggings for £7 online since quitting the BBC soap.

The 19 year old has been selling her old clothes on the popular shopping app Depop, adding new items to the collection every week.

As well as selling her old garments, Maisie is also modelling the gear as she is pictured advertising the clothes on her account.

The star has managed to sell 249 items so far and has almost 4,000 people following her on the app.

Maisie is selling a rather large and impressive range of branded sportswear which she sells at a higher price. However, her accessories are being sold at a cheaper fee- with chokers going for as little as £2.

Other celebrities have also decided to cash in on the money-making app by flogging their old clothes and jewellery.

Former glamour model, Katie Price has reportedly made thousands selling her old gear and has built a large following on the site.

Maisie who announced she had quit EastEnders in January, played Tiffany Butcher since 2008 but decided to take a break to try other things.

At the time of the announcement, a source said: “Maisie is hugely ambitious and wants to test herself away from soaps.

“Starring in movies is a personal goal and seeing how well Ben and Himesh have done, it’s given her hope she could be the next box office star from EastEnders.

“The only stumbling block is whether COVID-19 and the knock-on effect of the pandemic will dilute the pool of acting opportunities.”

The young actress became a household name following her appearance on the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing where she came a respectable second place.

Her management has also had talks with various clothing and make-up companies that she could work with once her contract with the BBC comes to an end.

The Sun previously reported in December that Maisie could possibly earn £1million over two years once she is allowed to accept certain branding deals.
