Emily Atack and Keith Lemon are good mates – but it doesn’t stop the Celebrity Juice host from spilling her secrets.
Ahead of the premiere of the new series of Celebrity Juice, Emily, 31, opened up about her friendship with the TV funnyman, who has been fronting the show since its 2008 inception.
While Emily admitted Keith, whose real name is Leigh Francis, is “absolutely hilarious,” she confessed he could be equally “naughty” at times.
“He’s just absolutely hilarious. He makes me belly laugh,” she said.
“It’s still fascinating watching him in action on set. He’s SO naughty. Maybe the naughtiest man I know.”
The actress, whose ITV2 stand-up series has just been commissioned for a second season, went on to explain Keith is famed for his loose lips.
She said: “He doesn’t take himself too seriously, and he’s someone who you tell ALL of your secrets to, and then watch him tell the entire studio and audience.
“I think everyone needs a mate like that.”
Fellow team captain Laura Whitmore also sang Keith’s praises, labelling the flame-haired funnyman a “national treasure”.
“He’s just iconic and so unique,” she said, adding: “There’s no one like him. I’ve been out with Keith many nights and see how people react to him. He’s a superstar. He’s a national treasure.
“There’s no badness in him, his jokes are naughty but from a good place – he’s a got a lovely heart just with a filthy mouth.”
Emily and Laura will be joined by DJ and TV personality Maya Jama on the new series, hosting a round of competitive games with a panel of celeb guests.
Ahead of the show’s return to the small screen, Keith was full of praise for his co-stars, who have replaced former captains Holly Willoughby and Mel B.
“It’s always fun going back to Juice. Especially after this horrendous lockdown. It’s so nice to see Emily and Laura, love those guys,” the comic said.
“It’s just so fun working with mates. And now Maya has joined us. With me and the girls surely it’s the best-looking show on telly. I’m a very lucky man.
“And 25 series! Wow! Who knows how long Juice will go on, but I’m happy it’s lasted this long and I’m still not ready to retire. I love it!”
Dozens of celebs have appeared on the show over the years, with everyone from Pamela Anderson to Susanna Reid joining in on the action.
The series has won Keith acclaim over the past decade, scooping up a dong for the Best Entertainment Show at the 2011 TV Choice award, and an NTA the following year.
