Parents work incredibly hard, and it’s always great to take a moment to recognise when you’ve gone above and beyond.
TV beauty Emma Willis has given herself a pat on the back and awarded herself “mum points” for successfully spoiling her daughter, 12-year-old Isabelle.
Emma, 45, and husband Matt Willis made sure their eldest daughter had the best birthday even though it also fell on Father’s Day.
The former model shared some adorable pictures on her social media.
In one of them, she is giving daughter a big cuddle.
“Happy birthday to our gorgeous first born. 12 years old today, how on earth…” she wrote in the caption.
“From the moment she arrived she has captivated us, entertained us but more than anything, she has made us proud every single day.
“We love you so much Wizz, you brilliantly funny, kind, little lady. I’ll hold onto her like this for as long as she’ll let me.”
She finished by writing: “Stay brave my baby…”
Gorgeous Emma also teased fans with a hint of the birthday celebrations.
Lucky Isabelle woke up to a display of banners, rainbow-themed balloons, and plenty of presents.
Emma enthused: “Here we go! Happy birthday Wizz,”
There was also an ice cream van. Emma captioned a picture of the kids waiting patiently for ice cream, saying she may not be able to have a proper party but she can have ice cream.
The birthday girl was joined by Ace, nine, and five-year-old Trixie.
It wasn’t this that Emma claimed the mum points for though, she was proud of a personalised cake she had made.
“Major mum points…” she wrote on a picture of the Friends-themed cake.
It featured all of the famous items from the much-loved series, including the iconic yellow door frame, a lobster, turkey, the Central Perk sofa, and smelly cat.
It also had “The one where Wizz turns 12” written along the base of the cake.
Fans were raving about Emma’s efforts.
