Emmerdale viewers were left devastated on Thursday night as Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) planted drugs on newcomer Ethan (Emile John).
The schoolgirl reunited with drug dealer Danny Harrington (Louis Healy) during the latest visit to the Yorkshire Dales after he was released from his stint in jail.
Danny started dealing in front of a concerned Sarah and she ended up taking the pills off to prevent him from being caught red-handed.
Sarah decided to ditch the drugs in Ethan’s coat while he was enjoying a drink with friends in The Woolpack.
Danny’s friend had already dropped a bag of pills in the pub, which Chas Dingle found and later reported to the police.

Things took a turn for the worse when they arrived and searched Ethan.
The solicitor defended himself against the police officer but was arrested when the pills were found in his coat pocket.
Viewers were disgusted over Sarah’s behaviour and devastated that new vicar Charles’ son Ethan was taken to the police station.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “For god sake Sarah, own up!”
Another added: “Poor Ethan! Stitched up by Sarah.”
A third person posted: “Poor Ethan…
“I actually like his character already.”
While a fourth added: “Well done Sarah that’s your boyfriend off the hook you little cow.”

Solicitor Ethan defended himself against the officer, telling him: “Tell us why you’d be so keen to search me officer.
“Maybe I’m hostile because I’m the only person you want to search.
“You’re not going to find anything – I don’t touch drugs.”
However, the officer found drugs in his coat, Ethan reacted with horror.
The officer arrested him for possession of drugs while a shifty Sarah looked on.
Ethan said: “I understand,” as he turned to Sarah and and added: “I understand perfectly.”
