Emmerdale fans celebrated the return of ‘feisty Vanessa” Woodfield after she returned to the village with a bang.
The blonde bombshell returned to the Dales over the festive break after more than 18 months off air as actress Michelle Hardwick gave birth to her son.
But alongside the doting sister was her girlfriend Fiona who has slept with Tracey’s fiancé Nate Robinson last month.
And a whole world of chaos accompanied them when they returned to Beckindale, as Vanessa’s sister finally learnt that her husband-to-be had betrayed her while she was battling postnatal depression.

With Nate kicked out and Fiona full of apologies, the sisters leant on each other for support as Tracey battled with whether or not she should forgive her baby daddy for his misdeeds.
As she ushered her distraught sister out of the room, Vanessa argued with her girlfriend about her actions last month.
She opened with: “Are you happy now? Or do you want to stick around and cause any more damage? In fact, don’t answer that – just go.”

It is at this point that Fiona pleads with her partner for forgiveness, as she begged her to reconsider, saying: “Ness, please.”
To which she argued: “Please what? Hear you out? You didn’t have to say anything but you just couldn’t help yourself could you? Now look!”
“I’m sorry,” she pleaded. “But at least the truth’s out there now, and once we’re away from here maybe we can work things out.”

Shocked at her offer, Vanessa questioned: “Are you for real? You actually think I want to go back with you? You’ve shattered my sister’s life she’s in pieces because of you. I can’t just pretend that never happened .
“There’s nothing you can say. It’s over between us .”
It was at this point that viewers celebrated her strength online and returned to the fiery character she once was when she first joined the cast.

Another agreed: “Yeah get lost fiona! Vanessa deserves way better, fiona isnt fit to shine Vanessa’s shoes!”
A third chimed in with: “Feisty Vanessa is back” while one avid fan of the show added: “Absolutely love Tracy & Vanessa so much….. The Best Sisters. So glad Vanessa is back!”
