Emmerdale star Chelsea Halfpenny unrecognisable after stunning brunette makeover

Former Emmerdale actress Chelsea Halfpenny has gone to the dark side, ditching her honey blonde locks for a shade of brunette.

The soap star, 29, rose to fame in 2010 playing Amy Wyatt in the Yorkshire dales, only to leave the ITV show three years later.

For years Chelsea has highlighted her hair in shades of blonde, wearing it in a long and wavy, natural style.

However, taking to Twitter this year, the North-Eastern starlet showcased her new look, debuting a choppy brunette barnet.

Chelsea decided to lop off some of the length, cutting her hair to her shoulders and tinting it in a glossy shade of dark brown.

In one video, shared on January 16, the actress can be seen singing into the camera, letting fans know where she will be performing next.

Chelsea, who has returned to her love of singing in recent years, wrote: “Come and watch my right hand completely upstage me as ‘The Claw’ at my ‘Leave a light on’ concert on -Tuesday 19th Jan- for @LJProds.”

In the comment section below, Chelsea’s fans were smitten by her singing voice and her new ‘do in equal parts, as they took to their keyboards to weigh in.

“So beautiful. Your voice and you!!!!,” wrote one.

After leaving the Yorkshire dales, Chelsea showed face on another beloved Brit soap opera, playing Alicia Munroe on Casualty.

Having bid farewell to Casualty two years ago, Chelsea decided to merge her love of singing with acting, taking over the role of Judy in 9 to 5: The Musical.

Even though live theatre has been banished during the lockdown, the starlet has been entertaining her fans with her vocals online.
