Emmerdale icon Kim Tate is set to work out she’s being drugged by someone close to her in a brutal revenge twist.
And the list of suspects has now officially been unveiled by soap bosses.
It was revealed last week that Gabby had been taking advantage of Kim’s memory issues in order to swindle money from the company bank account.
But she swore she was just doing it to protect her unborn baby if its father Jamie deserted her.
And after it was confirmed she didn’t have dementia, Kim became aware that something else was up.
Viewers have seen a mystery hand dropping something into her brandy on several occasions – but still don’t know who is behind the sinister plot.
And now Emmerdale spoilers have confirmed that Kim is set to work out she’s being drugged by someone close to her, and decides to set a trap for them.
In scenes set to air later this month, the soap stalwart channels Kim’s iconic calculating style, and sends out formal invitations to her nearest and dearest, requesting their presence for a fancy lunch at Home Farm.
While they’re gathered, her ruse begins, as Kim announces that she has decided to retire and needs to appoint a successor from among the gathered group.
At which point, the bickering begins in earnest…
Kim actress Claire King explained of the storyline: “Kim is throwing out a line and then seeing who will be reeled in by her shock announcement.
“Who wants to succeed her the most? Who will she flush out and expose as the poisoner? Once again Kim holds all the cards – it’s now a waiting game,” she elaborated.
And the line-up of suspects has officially been confirmed as The Battle for Home Farm commences, as Kim’s invitees take their places around the table.
It consists of: Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley), Jamie Tate (Alexander lincoln), Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham).
But which one is poisoning Kim?
Emmerdale Story Producer Sophie Roper added: “Kim’s explosive discovery will send her on a quest for vengeance that will rock the Tate Empire like never before.
