Ewan McGregor has welcomed a baby boy and become a dad again after his daughter announced the happy news on Instagram.
The actor has welcomed his fifth child into the world, with daughter Clara, 25, congratulating her dad and his partner Mary Elizabeth Winstead, 36.
Clara took to social media to update her fans with the new addition to her family.
She gushed it was the “greatest gift” to be with her little brother – whose name has been revealed as Laurie.
She wrote: “Welcome to the world little brother,” followed by the heart emoji.
“Congratulations to my dad and Mary – this is the greatest gift.”
Clara, whose mother is Eve Mavrakis, shared an adorable photo of her holding the bundle of joy, who was wrapped in a special grey baby jacket.
In the second snap, Clara is staring down at the cute infant, as he looks up at her.
Ewan’s other daughter, Esther, let slip the adorable name to the new tot – Laurie.
The model also posted a sweet photo while meeting her new sibling and wrote: “Met my little brother looking like a pirate. I recommend! Welcome to the family little Laurie.”
Fellow celebs and fans rushed to the comments to congratulate the family.
Actress Rebecca Dayan wrote: “OMG!”
Hollywood star Juliette Labelle said: “Congratulations!”
One fan joked: “Obiwan with a new youngling added to the Jedi Academy.”
A second made reference to Ewan’s Star Wars role as well, and penned: “General Kenobi Jr!”
The couple never officially announced Mary’s pregnancy publicly.
The news comes as Ewan is currently busy filming the Obi-Wan Kenobi series for Disney+.
When speaking of returning to the iconic role after 15 years and regarding the technological advances that have occurred in the gap, Ewan previously said it was like the “beginning of Hollywood”.
The 50-year-old star added: “I like it. It’s like the beginning of Hollywood.
“It’s almost like when they had three-sided sets all in a row, and a bunch of guys with windup cameras, and you would just go from one stage to the other, one background to the other.
“Well, we’re doing sort of the same thing, except just the background changes instead of the stage. I’m excited about it because I feel like anything’s possible now.”
Mary, also in showbiz, will be on screens again soon starring in Netflix’s Kate.
