First Love Island 2021 islanders 'confirmed' as beauty queen and events host

Love Island bosses have reportedly unveiled their first official contestants to enter the world-famous villa – an international beauty star and a luxury events host.

The first official islander believed to be joining the ITV match-making show is beauty pageant queen Sharon Gaffka – who won Miss International UK in 2018.

Sharon, 25, is a world-beating beauty star who has represented Britain in a worldwide beauty tournament, and she’s brains as well as beauty because she’s also a multi-lingual lawyer.

This isn’t the first time Love Island producers have recruited an international beauty pageant star, as Zara Holland was a former Miss GB winner who lost her title after having sex on the show.

Since her time as a beauty queen, Sharon has worked in the Civil Service and the Department for Transport as well as the government’s controversial Track and Trace system.

The stunner also earned herself a law degree from the University of London and speaks French and Indonesian.

Not only that though, Sharon is an ambassador for the Young Women’s Trust – a feminist organisation striving to achieve economic justice for young women.

But the gorgeous brainbox still manages to find time to treat her 14.6k followers to a steamy selection of bikini-themed selfies.

And she seems to be well-equipped for dealing with the spotlight after her beauty career.

Discussing her pageantry success, Sharon said: “People are going to talk about you, no matter what you do.

“So you might as well do whatever brings you joy, and live your best life.”

It comes as the second contestant to be reportedly signed up to the show is handsome luxury events host Aaron Francis, 24, who has been described as a ‘sexy ladies man’ with a caring side.

Single Londoner Aaron has just over 2,600 followers on Instagram, which is a stark contrast to the big social media followings of past contestants – but there are plenty of topless pictures for new fans to get their hands on ahead of his villa debut.

An inside source said: “Aaron has no real claim to fame, he’s just a normal guy. However, his job does mean he sometimes moves in glamorous circles and he gets lots of attention.”

“Bosses think he’ll be a real hit in the house with the girls and also get on with the guys.”

Aaron, like Sharon and the rest of the cast and crew, will have to quarantine when he touches down in Majorca to film the show to comply with Covid measures.

Due to the pandemic, last year’s summer series was postponed so fans are thrilled to see the ITV2 show return to its original summer time-slot.

The opening episode of last year’s series reached 4.8 million viewers, so the Aaron and Sharon will be thrust into the limelight when they allegedly join the show.

This follows reports Love Islanders will be given a “duty of care” by show bosses to protect the mental health of this year’s contestants.

Amongst the protocols are an extensive aftercare system including “bespoke training on dealing with social media and advice on finance”, and a “minimum” of eight therapy sessions.

There will also be “proactive contact” with contestants for 14 days after the end of the series, on top of help securing a manager.

And former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, who appeared on the 2017 series of the show and came third place with her ex Chris Hughes, reckons this upcoming series could be the ‘raunchiest yet’ as the contestants will have spent 18 months in lockdown.
