Former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley – who was axed from the soap after being convicted of two sex assault charges – has announced he’s found a new career as a pop musician.
The ex-actor, 38, had played Todd on the ITV soap until being booted off the show in October 2017 following his convictions for groping two women.
Langley has mostly stayed out of the limelight but he now says he’s launching a new career in music, and has unveiled his new single called Collide.
Bruno has set up an Instagram page dedicated to his musical endeavors, which has stacked up 38,000 followers.
Posting to his Instagram followers, Bruno wrote: “Thank you for all your lovely messages regarding my music I love you all and I hope you are doing well x.
“I am working on some new music I hope to share with you very soon.”
Bruno had previously become a fan favourite on the show as Todd Grimshaw after joining the Corrie cobbles in 2001, but things took a turn for the worse in late 2017 when he was kicked off the show after being accused of sexually assaulting two women in a nightclub.
However, in court Bruno pleaded guilty to two charges of sexual assault against the partygoers and was subsequently ordered to carry out a 12-month community order as well as receiving a £500 fine.
Langley released a statement where he apologised for what he called “disgraceful behaviour”.
He said: “I have absolutely no memory of what happened because of excessive alcohol consumption and it was for this reason that I behaved completely out of character.
“However, I take full responsibility for my actions that night.”
The former actor has since been replaced on the soap by Gareth Pierce, and although Bruno avoided prison he was forced to wear an electronic tag and also placed on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
“Please have a listen and follow her on Spotify. Click the link in my bio.
“I’m eternally proud of you sis love you always.”
