Reality star and business mogul Gemma Collins is planning to transform her property into the “Buckingham Palace of Essex,” according to The Sun.
And it looks like the Towie legend is already getting things underway as she’s hired her pal and former Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward to give a hand in the home’s revisions.
Dawn currently runs her own interior design company Arista Design from her £14 million palace in Cheshire and is now gearing up to add her creative insight to Gemma’s pad, reports have claimed.
Speaking openly about the reality star’s expertise, a close friend of Dawn recently said: “Dawn’s designs are jaw-dropping and life changing. She’s going to make Gemma’s house the Buckingham Palace of Essex.
“It is going to be off the scale when she and her team have finished the work. Even the GC will be lost for words.”
Dawn is a reputable name in the interior design world and her firm has helped to design interiors of multi-million homes across London and the Cheshire area.
Her firm has also worked on a clothes franchise in Harrods.
Not only this, but Dawn also worked on the amazing interiors for her daughter Taylor’s home in Manchester that she purchased with Manchester City ace Riyad Mahrez.
The GC recently purchased her £1.3m property after years of looking for her dream pad. The home includes floor to ceiling windows, with a beautiful open-plan kitchen.
Last week , Gemma revealed that her celeb Big Brother pal Darren Day “helped her pay” for the mansion.
When Gemma and Darren appeared with each other in the Big Brother house in 2016, Gemma said to the actor “I’m claustrophobic, Darren!”
Since then business owner Gemma has gone on to sell merchandise with the catchphrase printed on them.
The star also landed a six-figure deal with In The Style due to the merch and she’s convinced she was able to make the money to buy her luxury home because of the popular catchphrase.
Speaking to her mate Darren while showing off her luscious pad via video, Gemma chimed: “You bought this for me Darr!”
Talking to The Sun about the catchphrase, Darren said: “She is making a f**king fortune out of my name. I am now an Easter egg, I’m a Covid mask. I’m a handbag. I’m a f***ing scarf. I’m a jacket.
“I was even a Christmas f**king bauble. Christmas bauble and now a f**king Easter egg. I mean, I never thought I would be, but I am.”
Darren continued: “She has just moved into a new house, bought a new house, she sent me a video a couple of weeks ago showing me all around the grounds and she went ‘You f***ing bought this for me Da’. I thought, ‘I bet I f***ing did.”‘
Since the iconic moment took place, Darren also revealed that he often gets people shouting Gemma’s comment at him while he’s in Essex.
But Gemma hasn’t stopped there, as she is now planning to capitalise on the slogan: “I’m: Single, Taken, Claustrophobic Darren.”
