Hollywood movie star George Clooney may seem perfect but even he has his embarrassing insecurities.
The 60-year-old actor has confessed that there is one film he has banned both his wife Amal and his children from watching because he says it’s his worst performance in a flick.
Speaking to Variety on the red carpet premiere of George’s new movie The Tender Bar, Amal revealed that the movie in question is none other than George’s one and only superhero stint in the 1997 Batman & Robin.
George was grilled about why he is not joining Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in reprising the famous role of Batman in the upcoming film The Flash.
The actor explained his absence, quipping: “When you destroy a franchise the way I did, usually they look the other way when ‘The Flash’ comes by.”
Amal then chimed to explain the extent that George hates his performance in the film, that he wouldn’t even let her see it.
“He won’t let me watch it,” she confirmed.
George then added: “No. There are certain films I just go… I’m afraid I want my wife to have some respect for me.”
“It’s on the banned list,” joked Amal. “But I think the kids are gonna want to watch it”.
The couple are proud parents to twins Ella and Alexander who are now four years old.
However, George jokingly said that he doesn’t want the judgement from his kids saying: “When your four-year-old kid goes ‘this sucks’… that would be really painful.”
It comes after George asked Jada Pinkett-Smith how she puts up with husband Will Smith in a cheeky dig last month.
For the the actress’s birthday many of her celebrity friends sent in video messages to wish her well on Red Table Talk.
To wish her a happy birthday, George made a hilarious video for the star, which she chose to air on the Facebook Watch show.
He said: “Now, they asked me to ask you a question, and I do have a question I’ve been wanting to ask you for a long time. And it’s pretty simple. How do you put up with Will?
“I mean, really, look, you’re intelligent and talented and successful and beautiful, and you have all of these qualities that, quite honestly, Will doesn’t have,” he added.
“And I wanna know how, after all these years, you do it. How do you do it? How do you do it? Anyway, listen, happy birthday. I hope you have a great 29th birthday, and stay safe, and I hope to see you soon.”
