Gigi Hadid has spoken about her delivery experience and said she didn’t even realise she had given birth after her 14-hour labour.
The 25-year-old model and her partner Zayn Malik, 28, welcomed their baby daughter, Khai, into the world in September last year.
Gigi has now opened up about giving birth to Khai and said she felt like “an animal woman” during the intense labour.
Hadid gave birth at her family ranch in Bucks County, Pennsylvania alongside Zayn, her mother, Yolanda, sister, Bella, a local midwife, and her assistant.
Speaking about the experience to Vogue, Gigi explained: “I had to dig deep. I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like, ‘This is what it is’. I loved that.”

The star confessed that she didn’t realise she had actually given birth until she saw the little one in Zayn’s arms.
She continued: “It didn’t even click that she was out. I was so exhausted, and I looked up and he’s holding her. It was so cute.”
Gigi also spoke about feeling proud that she landed her first solo cover while after becoming a first-time mum.

She shared a snap of the stunning shoot as she wrote: “Who would have thought I’d be feeding my baby girl her morning bottle as we share my first @voguemagazine solo cover ?!
“I am emotional and honoured to take my first professional step, in this new chapter of womanhood, with this dream come true.”
Zayn broke the news of their baby’s birth on social media in September, as he wrote: “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful.

“To try put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together x.”
Gigi posted her own announcement soon after, saying: “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love.”
The mum-of-one recently celebrated four months since her daughter’s arrival by posting a sweet tribute online.
She spoke about why she chose to keep her pregnancy off of social media in July.
Gigi said there were “greater things” going on in the world than her being pregnant.
She said: “Obviously I think a lot of people are confused why I’m not sharing more but like, I’m pregnant through a pandemic, like obviously my pregnancy is not the most important thing going on in the world.
“That’s a reason that I felt that it’s not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends. Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening.
“And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM [Black Lives Matter] movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that.”
