Gloria Hunniford tells Denise Welch 'take a breath' in heated Loose Women debate

It was all kicking off on Tuesday afternoon’s Loose Women, after the ladies passionately discussed lockdwon restrictions, coronavirus and the upcoming Freedom Day on July 19.

When asked about Boris Johnson’s speech regarding Britain’s current roadmap host Kaye Adams asked panellist Denise Welch her opinions on this.

Denise who had family members in hospital during the pandemic was enraged but Boris’ new proposal and didn’t hold back her views.

A passionate Denise started off by expressing that she can’t currently see her father at the hospital which has left her questioning “what does my double jab mean?”

Gloria told Denise to take a breath

She declared: “If we’re going to live with covid, surely this is the time to live with it while there is 50 cases a day.”

But as she continued, Kaye interrupted and remined Denise that the pandemic isn’t over just yet.

Raising her voice slightly, Denise said: “Of course it’s not over, it’s never going to be over. We’ve accepted that covid is here, so as it is here now, why aren’t we moving forward?”

Denise went into a passionate rant but other panellists couldn’t really seem to chime in and give their take, which lead panellist Gloria Hunniford to abruptly interrupt.

Gloria tried to share her views on the matter

Gloria said: “But Denise, sorry I know, you can take a breath now.”

Slightly taken aback by Gloria’s interruption, Denise said: “I told you I probably wouldn’t take a breath Gloria.”

Later on, as the topic moved on to the NHS, Janet Street-Porter also wanted to give her opinions on the matter and compared Denise to panellist Penny Lancaster.

Janet said: “Darling, you’re not Penny Lancaster so I would like to get a word in.”

Viewers at home also noticed things were getting very heated and encouraged Denise to take a break.

Taking to Twitter, Loose Women fans aired their thoughts.

One viewer penned: “Give your voice a break please Denise Welch.”

Another wrote: “Denise loves the sound of her own voice.”

While a third said: “She loves her own voice we need to get back on track.”
