Gogglebox star Giles Wood is raking in £250-a-time flogging prints of his beautiful paintings online.
The couch favourite has been investing in one of his greatest passions which has proved to make him a lot of money away from the TV.
Fans of the Channel 4 show have been left stunned by his very detailed artworks featuring busy interiors, elegant homes and landscapes.
Signed and framed prints of his works go for £250 a go – with Giles doing the painting and wife and reality show co-star Mary handling enquiries on his website.
One fan remarked, below his portrait of a historic home: “I had no idea you were an artist. Your work is stunning.”
Another borrowed the nickname Giles and Mary both use for each other, posting: “Beautiful work Nutty!”
Mary has often taunted Giles for his lack of hard work on Gogglebox, reacting when he said he was just starting to enjoy his retirement.
She hits back: “What retirement? You haven’t worked first. You retired at 21, so now you can start working – do it in reverse.”
But pictures on his Instagram show him busy in front of an easel as he showcased his impressive works of art in their home.
The pair – who famously inhabit a sprawling cottage in Wiltshire – are both well-known in their fields.
He is a writer, painter, while she is a journalist and long-time contributor to politics mag The Spectator.
In fact, she has even written about her experience of doing the show, describing the fee they get for doing it as “tiny”.
She also complained that people come up to her in the street and tell her how funny her husband is.
And, now in an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, the proud artist has opened up about secret passion for painting.
Speaking about his art on his personal website, Giles said: “I like the contemplative aspect – sitting for several days in a room, watching the light change.
“There are as many changes as with a landscape. I always work in oils as they give more depth.
“The finished painting should offer an insight into the painter as well as the subject.”
