Gordon Ramsay's mum brutally roasts him over plans to host new BBC game show

Gordon Ramsey has been famed for being a savage from his days hosting his iconic yet controversial show, Hells Kitchen.

However, it turns out the true savage is the 54-year-old star’s mother, Helen.

Helen, much like her son, wasn’t afraid to say what she was thinking after hearing about Gordon’s new show Bank Balance.

She bluntly has declared that she feels TV presenter Bradley Walsh is more suited to host her son’s upcoming series.

The news about his TV show, which is set to be made by Gordon’s own production firm, left him so excited he rang his mum to tell her the good news.

Recalling the phone call, Gordon told his followers how the conversation went.

Gordon said: “I phoned her and said the BBC wanted to buy it.

“She said, ‘So are you going to get Bradley Walsh to present it?

“I said, ‘No mum, I’m going to do it. We’re in lockdown. I’m not doing anything else.’

“She said, ‘But you aren’t a quiz show host.’ I said, ‘Mum, are you kidding me?'”

He added: “I’m not going to lie, I was nervous doing it. I can take the criticism, the short-term criticism about presenting a game show.

“There might be a few critics but those will pale in comparison to the millions who will be watching it. I’m fine to take a kicking, trust me.”

It comes after the TV chef didn’t hold back as he watched TikTok chef Nikkal Carraz create a horror Valentines Day themed pastry.

Gordon, who can’t help himself when it comes to having a say in others’ recipes, was horrified when he saw the rather disturbing dish Nikkal had cooked up.

Nikkal baked up an apple and cherry pie but Gordon did not approve of it whatsoever.

Gordon said: “I like some Valentine’s Day recipe fun but this is just spooky.”

The star then watched on judging as Nikkal told his followers that he was “gouging” out a small ball shape from a red apple.

Shocked, Gordon gasped: “Gouge out an apple? That doesn’t sound very romantic does it? What you doing?”

Taking some white edible paint to the apple, Nikkal laid on a heart and folded over the pastry.

He then added a few red cherries to the bizarre base.

Gordon said: “Edible paint, That looks a little bit rude.”

Nikkal then put the two pieces of pastry together and then painted on top of the white apple ball.

Disgusted by what he was watching, Gordon said: “No stop it, come on.

“Crimp the edges of a loveheart? Egg wash? edible paint, no come on dude.”

Nikkal then revealed that he’d turned his creation into an eyeball tart.

A shocked Gordon said: “Stop it. An eyeball? What?”
