Graham Norton took a savage dig at Richard Madeley following the Good Morning Britain host’s exit from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
Graham was joined by Hollywood stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Henry Cavill and Gugu Mbatha-Raw on last night’s (December 3) episode of The Graham Norton Show, when he made the swipe at Richard.
Discussing this year’s incarnation of the ITV programme, the chat show host said: “Storm Arwen came along and forced I’m A Celebrity off the air for three days.
“Still, Richard Madeley was there and he did an amazing job of cheering everyone up.
“He left early!”
As the studio audience reacted with hysterical laughter the camera panned to Zendaya, who couldn’t help but let out a cheeky agreeing smile.
Richard was forced to quit the show just hours after it was revealed that he was rushed to hospital.
He later confirmed on Instagram that he was “absolutely FINE” and that he was only taken to hospital “as a precaution”.
However, he went on to explain: “By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp.
“Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority.
“I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue…even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle.”
Having announced the exit on November 25, he returned to his role on GMB on Monday, November 29, where he went into more detail about what had happened.
He said: “I think what happened to me was, I think I got dehydrated, that’s all it was. But dehydration is actually quite disturbing. It’s not a pleasant thing.
“I think I had been up for 20 hours the day before, and the day before that having very long days. We were sleeping quite late.”
Richard wasn’t the only I’m A Celeb contestant to face Graham’s comedic wrath last night.
Graham also took a cheeky dig at Naughty Boy, claiming he is “not a celebrity”.
