Harrison Ford wears sling after injury while filming Indiana Jones 'fight scene'

Harrison Ford was spotted wearing a sling after he was injured during filming for Indiana Jones 5.

The actor was seen walking in Mayfair, London after reports he sustained an injury while rehearsing a fight scene for the new movie.

The star, who takes on the role of the adventurous archaeologist, is currently taking a break from the movie due to an injury.

Filming for the Indiana Jones 5 movie was halted due to Covid-19 delays but was resumed earlier this year, with the 78-year-old seen by fans in northern England off-set.

It’s now believed rehearsals will be pushed back by three months due to the injury.

The actor was seen on Friday where he was watching tennis at a pub, reports MailOnline.

He was dressed in casual attire, with a blue t-shirt, navy blue jumper, and a khaki sling on his arm.

Harrison will be out of action while he recuperates, which is a fresh blow for the movie after shooting was previously delayed due to the pandemic.

A source claimed to The Sun that everyone thought the filming “would be plain sailing”.

They said: “It is Harrison’s last outing as Indiana and everyone thought it would be plain sailing.

“After the initial delays everyone was raring to go. But now Harrison is injured and it is worse than first thought.

“The film’s bosses have come together to work out the scheduling and it’s chaos. The earliest they think they can restart the production in September.

“It was not what anyone was expecting so to have to change everything is a huge blow. Everyone was concerned for Harrison and they are glad he is on the mend.”

The Star Wars actor is known for doing his own stunts on set, with directing legend Steven Spielberg previously admitting he was an “idiot” for letting him try risky scenes in previous movies.

The filmmaker added: “A double would have cheated his head down, so Harrison volunteered to do it himself.

“There were five shots of the rock from five different angles – each one done twice – so Harrison had to race the rock ten times.

“He won ten times – and beat the odds. He was lucky – and I was an idiot for letting him try it.”

The Indiana Jones 5 movie is expected to be released next July in 2022.
