Harry Potter fans listen up! Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and co could be reuniting to mark 20 years since the release of the first movie in the wizarding franchise.
Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone was released in 2001 and it seems there could be plans for a Friends-style reunion in the pipeline.
The cast of Friends got together this year for a one-off special that saw them reminisce, revisit some of the hit show’s highlights and share snippets of gossip from behind the scenes.
And according to The Sun, Warner Bros thinks something similar could work for the Potter cast.
Some of the major cast members are apparently being invited to film a special at the popular Warner Brothers Studio Tour London.
A source told the publication that plans for the project are very hush hush right now.
“The proposed show is being shrouded in secrecy as franchise bosses want to get talent locked in first,” said the insider.
“It would be amazing if they pull it off and they have offered big money to the cast to reunite.”
Main cast members Daniel, Emma and Rupert Grint (who played Harry, Hermione and Ron in the blockbusters) have all gone on to have successful, busy careers after being propelled to fame thanks to their time at Hogwarts.
But sources hope they can still get together to make some sort of reunion special.
“They all have lots of fond memories from their time filming together,” said the insider.
“Everyone is hopeful it will happen.”
Since the movies, Emma Watson has gone on to enjoy success in films such as The Bling Ring and the live-action version of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
Rupert Grint has stuck around in the UK, mainly appearing in television series such as Snatch and The ABC Murders.
Meanwhile, star of the franchise Daniel Radcliffe has enjoyed great success in TV, film and on stage and is estimated to be worth £94million.
