Harry Redknapp takes selfie with West Ham fan Billy Mitchell in EastEnders debut

In one of the most eagerly awaited television moments of the year, West Ham legend Harry Redknapp will finally make his debut appearance in EastEnders.

Early released photos of Harry Redknapp walking through the square and popping into the Queen Vic have been teasing fans ahead of Friday’s episode but the moment of truth is finally here.

Harry will play himself in the episode and will be in Albert Square visiting “good pal” Terry ‘Rocky’ Cant, played by Brian Conley.

As well as Rocky, Harry will chat to Billy Mitchell, and Mick (played by Danny Dyer) and Linda Carter in the Queen Vic.

In newly released photos ahead of tonight’s episode, Harry is seen holding a half drunk pint outside the while Hammers super fan Billy Mitchell takes a selfie of the pair.

Harry reportedly begged producers to be in the famous soap after revealing he and his wife are big fans of the show.

Harry told The Sun: “I’ve watched it (EastEnders) so many times over the years, so to be here is just fantastic.

“I just thought I’d pop into the Vic for a pint.

“It’s amazing being here, as I say, watching the programme for so many years.

“And my missus don’t miss it. It’s her favourite.”

He previously said: “It’s no secret that I’ve wanted to be in EastEnders so I’m over the moon to be making a special cameo this summer.”
