Holly Willoughby defended by fans after This Morning viewers tell her 'grow up'

Holly Willoughby has many devoted fans, and they have come to the presenter’s defence after the giggles got the better of her on Monday’s This Morning show.

Some viewers weren’t impressed that Holly couldn’t keep it together when talking to a guest about her fart fetish work.

A few tweeted their annoyance that the blonde bombshell host saw the funny side of their guest’s story.

Holly was joined by Phillip Schofield to interview their guest, Emma Martin, a married mum-of-two who claims to earn £3,000 a month.

The guest explained her income is earned from fart fetish work, after she quit her job as a travel agent.

Holly was struggling to hold it together to even introduce the interview.

She completely fell apart when she asked Emma: “Can you fart on command or do you have to work up to it?”

Phillip reassured Holly that she “did well” to talk as much as she did.

Holly disagreed: “I don’t think I did. I was terrible. Farting is funny,” she said, in tears of laughter.

“I’m crying now,” she squealed as she gave up all attempts of composing herself, it just got too much.

Many viewers were unimpressed: “Grow up Holly” tweeted one.

“Holly, a 40 year old woman: ‘farting is funny’” fumed another.

Another added: “How is Holly, a 40yr old woman and however old Philip is, laughing so hysterically about farting ?? Can someone shed some light on this for me as I don’t get it ? “

Someone else raged: “Not watched for a while & now I remember why. Holly needs to grow up. I get that farting can be funny, but she giggles inanely every time she says the word. You’re not 3 years old for gods sake. She’s still laughing even though the segment has finished.”

However many of Holly’s fans disagree and defended the star.

“Anyone else CRYING at This Morning?!” tweeted one.

Someone else added: “This Morning never fails to make me laugh when Schofe & hollywills are hosting. Laughing so hard at farting is funny.”

“Actually crying with laughter, Phil and Holly are hilarious,” insisted another.

This fan wrote: “Oh I just love it when Phil and Holly absolutely lose it on #ThisMorning I’ve literally got tears from laughing, it’s so infectious.”

This person was to the point: “Oh do lighten up! People slagging Holly off for laughing at farts at age 40. I didn’t realise there was a cut off point for laughing at farts, and I’d sooner watch her laughing than all the other depressing s**t on breakfast TV. #ThisMorning,” another hit back.

Holly has a lot to be thankful for with her fans.

It comes after they worriedly warned the star about her reflection in the taps of a luxurious bubble bath photo, which she then deleted.
