Holly Willoughby floored as Miriam Margolyes lets rip 'most enormous fart' during break

Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were left in stitches after Harry Potter star Miriam Margolyes let rip “the most enormous fart” moments before they went on air.

During Monday morning’s instalment of This Morning, fans were treated to another hilarious episode with the Hollywood actress who was dishing out advice to viewers on air.

But when the show returned after a much needed advert break, the beloved co-hosts struggled to compose themselves as they giggled throughout the show.

The dad-of-two couldn’t help but rat out the 80-year-old actress as he announced her awkward TV blunder to the viewers at home.

As the show went live, the 59-year-old was still chuckling away at the hilarious moment as he addressed the viewers at home.

Despite Holly playfully hitting him on the arm and whispering under her breath to “stop it”, Phil said: “I can’t, I can’t.

“Professionally I know I should pull myself together but Miriam’s just done the most enormous fart.”

To which a red-faced Miriam replied: “You outed me” as Phil added: “You outed it!”

He added: “It was just when we came out of the break, there was no pulling myself together then.”

As Holly wiped tears from her face, she chimed in with: “I’m so sorry, if we could have pulled ourselves together we wouldn’t have said anything.”

Phil argued: “But on purpose, it wasn’t as if she tried to keep it in. She actually lifted up and said, ‘That’s better’.”

The author joined the pair to announce the launch of her new book titled This Much Is True which is a memoir of her life so far.

But at the start of Monday’s episode the TV hosts opened with the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

And in celebration of the hugely successful movie franchise, which Miriam starred in, producers brought in a ginormous replica of Hogwarts castle which had been constructed entirely out of cake.

As Phillip carved into the humungous cake, Miriam – who played the role of Professor Sprout in the film – looked on in disgust as he destroyed the work of art.
