Holly Willoughby shares chilling way she learned she was going to be famous as a child

Holly Willoughby has revealed that a psychic predicted that she was going to be a huge star – when she was still only a child.

The bizarre moment came when Holly, now 40, was on holiday at the seaside with her family.

The popular This Morning presenter was speaking to Michael McIntyre on her By The Light of the Moon podcast.

Holly explained how a seaside fortune-teller that she visited with her sister Kelly said she would be a household name.

She said: “When I was younger I remember going to – I think it was either Eastbourne Pier or Brighton Pier, I can’t remember.

Holly shared a childhood memory

“There was a psychic lady at the end. My mum took me and my sister to go.

“She said to me: ‘You’re going to be a household name.’ Blah blah blah blah blah.

“We just fobbed her off thinking she probably literally says this to every little kid who walks in because it’s just a nice thing to say. Weird though, eh?”

The fortune teller was spookily accurate

Huge comedy star Michael also had his own childhood fortune teller moment, when his mum was told by a psychic that she would have a son who would be a star.

He said with a laugh: “Yes there was the ‘leader of men’ psychic session.”

Michael, 45, added: “I think having that information when I was young…

“It gave me a little bit of an inner glow and a bit of confidence to go: ‘Yeah I am.’

“It made me feel quite good about myself. Like I had a secret that great things were going to happen.

“Maybe it helped fulfil that a bit rather than the fact she was actually a psychic.”

He joked: “But I think it it was [she’d have gone on to bigger and better things. You’d definitely have had her on This Morning. Maybe she didn’t get a lot of things right.”

Michael’s fortune was also predicted as a child

Meanwhile, Holly told The Mirror about missing her parents last Christmas due to coronavirus restrictions. She said: “I remember last Christmas we were in London and my family were down in Sussex so they were in a different tier and my sister was able to see my parents, but I wasn’t. It was tough, we had never not had a Christmas day together before.

“There were parts of it which were lovely because I was with the family, but there is no doubt that I missed being with them as well.”
