Holly Willoughby was left shaken on Thursday’s episode of This Morning when Alice Beer told her to get a Covid test as she couldn’t smell the hot cross buns on offer.
The ITV favourite was sampling different flavours of the Easter treat with her co-host Phillip Schofield, but complained that she couldn’t smell one of the options.
Home expert Alice told her she should go and have a Covid test, as a lack of smell is one of the tell-tale symptoms of the virus which has forced the entire world to its knees.
But Holly looked terrified at the thought, after she had a run-in with the coronavirus last year and was forced to miss a few days on This Morning.

Back in November 2020, Holly missed some of her hosting duties after being forced to self isolate at home.
She later took to Instagram to explain what was going on to her followers.
Holly wrote: “Just wanted to say thank you for all your kind messages… over the last few days two of our children were unwell and had symptoms of Covid.

“In line with government guidelines we were waiting for results of the tests before I could return to work, couple that with just wanting to look after two poorly children, it meant having two days away from This Morning.”
She added: “I chose not to alert everyone to this because my focus was on looking after them…
“Thankfully all tests came back negative and everybody’s feeling much better… see you Monday!

“Once again thank you for all the lovely messages.”
Last month, Holly revealed that plans for her new show alongside cricket icon Andrew Flintoff had been put on hold due to Covid.
The duo would have been joined by football legend Chris Kamara and Alex Scott on the show, with filming scheduled to begin this month but has been pushed back.
It is thought that the show – The Real Games – would see celebrities go against each other in group challenges, which would obviously be an issue with ongoing social distancing rules.
However some good news that Holly shared last month was that her mum got the Covid vaccine.
“I’ve got a bit of good news today,” she said on the show. “My mum has just had her vaccine.”
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
