Holly Willoughby was 'terrified' hosting with Phillip Schofield for first time

Holly Willoughby made an unexpected confession about the first time she ever hosted with Phillip Schofield on Dancing on Ice tonight.

As the live show is cancelled this Sunday afternoon, presenters Holly and Phil have teamed up with bosses to create and air Dancing on Ice: The Greatest Show on Ice.

It saw the duo recalling past memories from the shows over the years which they have always presented together, alongside their regular weekly slot on This Morning.

Remembering hosting their first episode together, Phil said: “The audience were ready and despite it being our first time presenting together, Holly and I were ready.”

Only for Holly to reply: “Speak for yourself! I was absolutely terrified.”

The pair then welcomed onto the Dancing on Ice ice for the first time Olympic gold medalists, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.

Their collaboration on the show made them one of the UK’s most recognisable presenting duos, with the pair going on to host This Morning together from 2009.

Many clips showing Dean and Torvill began playing after as the pair reminisced on their first-ever episode together.

It comes as Dancing on Ice is taking an unprecedented break this weekend, giving injured skaters the opportunity to rest.

The ITV show was due to air tonight, Sunday February 21, at 6pm, but ITV has amazingly pulled the plug for a week.

The hit skating show has been plagued by injured contestants who have been unable to perform on the live show.

And because of the turmoil, ITV has decided to pull the show off the air for a week to see if some of the performers can recover to get the show back on the road after an unprecedented break.

However, fans will get the chance to watched Dancing on Ice: The Greatest Show On Ice, which was broadcasted instead to fill the gap.

The highlights show will show clips of previous seasons.

Dancing On Ice is set to return next Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
