Hollyoaks have dropped their brand new 2021 trailer to celebrate the show returning to five days a week from later this month.
The teaser clip, which was released on Tuesday, revealed new faces, exciting romances and fresh starts.
Hunky newcomer Brad King (Tom Knight) introduces Maxine Minniver (Nikki Sanderson) as her new landlord in upcoming scenes.
However, she is stunned to later discover that Brad’s girlfriend happens to be her estranged mother, Trish Minniver, played by Loose Women star Denise Welch.

After months of blackmail torment for the McQueen family, Silas Blissett has been “saving the best until last” as he finally comes face to face with arch enemy Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) with a deadly proposition involving her young son, Bobby.

Also loved up Sami Malik (Kashif Maalik) beams with delight following the news that Verity Hutchinson (Eve O’Hara) is having a baby, but is it all what it seems?
Controlling boyfriend PC George Kiss (Callum Kerr) turns violent with John Paul McQueen (James Sutton) after an argument between the couple leads to George lashing out and hitting him, and John Paul is heartbroken, but will this be the final straw for the couple?

Things are looking promising for Brody Hudson (Adam Woodward) and Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) relationship when he gets down on one knee and proposes, but heartbreak is on the horizon when Sienna catches him kissing new girl, Summer Ranger (Rhiannon Clements).
Meanwhile, Brody finally discovers Sienna’s affair with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) after Summer takes an incriminating photo of the pair kissing.
Self-proclaimed “golden boy” Toby Faroe (Bobby Gordon) is feeling on top of the world as his relationship with new beau Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) continues to blossom, but Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) is not going to let him off that easy.
Toby starts to unravel and locks his mum, Martine Deveraux (Kellé Bryan) in the garage. How far will he go this time?
Elsewhere in the village, Sid Sumner’s (Billy Price) involvement with the County Lines run is still ongoing as he approaches drugs boss Victor Brothers (Benjamin O’Mahoney) with a proposition.
Child killer Ella Richardson (Erin Palmer) is also blackmailed by Victor in upcoming scenes.
In the teaser clip, the schoolgirl is in tears as Victor tells her: “You will do everything I say.”
But Sid tells him: “I can make you 10 times more profits than she can, let me do this.”
As the county lines storyline continues, Victor tells Sid: “Get in the boot,”
The soap will return to five nights a week from January 18.
Hollyoaks continues on Channel 4 tonight at 6.30pm followed by a first look episode on E4 at 7pm
