Home Alone star Devin Ratray was arrested on Wednesday for domestic assault after he allegedly strangled his girlfriend earlier this month.
According to online court reports, Devin, 44, has been charged with one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and a second count of domestic assault and battery.
The state of Oklahoma issued the warrant for his arrest on Tuesday and his bond was set at $25,000 (£18,700).
The cops told Fox News that the actor “turned himself in after it was publicly thought that the case was to be closed.
Childstar Devin rose to fame in the early 1990s when he played Buzz McCallister, the older brother to Hollywood star Macaulay Culkin’s character, in the first two Home Alone films.
In documents obtained by KFOR, the woman was identified as Devin’s girlfriend. She reportedly told police that the couple got into a row at a bar and it all escalated from there.
The woman said Devin then followed her back to her hotel, where the physical assault allegedly took place, KFOR reports.
A court statement read: “[The] victim had trouble breathing while she was being strangled and while the defendant’s hand was over her mouth.”
A representative for Devin previously told TMZ that they got into a heated verbal argument but denies that things got at all physical.
Devin also recently told PEOPLE that a Home Alone reunion was in the pipeline with some members of the original cast included in the reboot.
He also revealed that he had reprised his role as brother Buzz in the movie Home Sweet Home Alone on Disney+. However, it is unsure if this will still go forward due to the allegations made against him.
Devin told people at the time: “This film has become a legacy and has affected families now for more than one generation.
“Parents are showing children, children are showing grandchildren something that I was a part of. I’ve come to realize that this movie, it’s bigger than me.”
