I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! was plunged into chaos on Tuesday evening, as two celebrities announced their intentions to quit the show.
Naughty Boy and Arlene Phillips – both currently locked in Gwrych Castle’s resident prison the Clink – made their frustrations with the show abundantly clear after Naughty Boy lost his Bushtucker Trial to Snoochie Shy, up in the main camp.
The main camp had been allowed to select who they would go up against to win stars for their respective campmates in the Treacherous Traps trial.
Arriving at the trial, Naughty Boy was quizzed by hosts Ant and Dec on why the main camp had voted for him.
He responded: “Because they love me.”

Fellow DJ Snoochie joked: “The love is so real.”
But Naughty Boy was left disheartened as he suggested: “Maybe they think I’m the weakest.”
After being defeated in the coffin-esque challenge, the star remarked of his loss: “I’m not looking forward to telling them. We’re in The Clink as well. All I can say is I gave my best.
“Sometimes your best isn’t good enough.”

But Naughty Boy wasn’t the only campmate fed up with life in the Clink within the first 72 hours.
Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips was similarly down in the dumps, with Danny admitting in the Telegraph: “I think she’s really upset with the other campers for picking Naughty Boy.
“I think if you were going to go for a weak link you’d go for Arlene. You’ve got a couple of angry campers in here.”
Later, Naughty Boy confided in his campmates: “I do think my time here is done. I had a feeling earlier and I was thinking about mum and obviously I love you guys – I don’t think after knowing what the Main Camp probably knew what they were putting me through knowing I did the challenge earlier – I don’t know if I could ever join that camp.”

GMB’s Richard Madeley interjected: “Listen, because we love having you with us, would you not at least sleep on it?”
But Arlene agreed: “I feel exactly the same.”
Naughty Boy confessed: “This isn’t a random big decision… I’ve tried my best both times today. I just can’t go from here into that Main Camp… I can’t fake that. I’m sorry.
“One thing I’ll tell you before you guys go into the Main Camp, as much as they say they love us, they love you… there is no love. When you guys go to the Main Camp, they’re the reason why I left.”
Later on in the show, Richard received a scroll which informed the Clink that they’d be merging with the main camp the next morning.
Looking at Naughty Boy to ask how he felt about the news, Naughty Boy responded: “I don’t think I will be going to main camp, I can’t continue that my heart’s not in anymore, I’m led by my heart.”
An unhappy Arlene said she, too, was considering leaving the Castle – though Richard expressed hope they’d both sleep on it and change their minds.
