I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Beverley Callard has welcomed a new baby girl to her family.

The proud Grandma shared her happy news with fans on her Instagram page as she posed for a photo with new arrival Luna.

Beverley and her husband Jon McEwan sat by side on a sofa as they met their newest grandchild for the first time.

The Coronation Street star looked ecstatic as the little one lay quietly in her arms.

She carefully cradled her as they both looked lovingly at the newborn infant.

Sharing the picture with her followers Beverley wrote: “Welcome to the world our Baby Granddaughter Luna Louise.”

The 64-year-old actress is best known for her role as Corrie icon Liz McDonald.

Beverley’s I’m A Celeb 2020 campmates were quick to congratulate her on the latest addition to her family.

Jordan North wrote: “So so happy for you guys. Beautiful pic.”

Victoria Derbyshire added: “Luna is beautiful, Bev – loads of love to you and your lovely family x.”

Beverley is no stranger to life as a grandmother – she’s already fulfilling the role for Luna’s three-year-old big brother Noah who was born in 2018.

Both children belong to her stepdaughter Danielle,

Beverley – who has two biological children of her own, Joshua, 32 and Rebecca, 46 – is also grandma to Rebecca’s two sons Sonny, 15, and George, 13.

The actress recently opened up about her mental health struggles during her time working on Coronation Street.

She told the Daily Star: “I’d struggled for so long knowing something was wrong but not on set knowing exactly what it was.

“You say all those things to yourself, like ‘get a grip.’ In the end I couldn’t go on any longer. With hindsight I know I was a workaholic.”

Beverley also admitted feeling that her depression was brought on by being too much of a perfectionist.

She explained: “Clinical depression is a curse of the strong. It does not happen to weak people. It does not happen to people who are quitters.

“It happens to people who are strong, who are people-pleasers, who are perfectionists and who demand too much of themselves.”
