I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! fans have all shared the same complaint about Simon Gregson ‘s final meal order.
As usual, the final three – Simon, Frankie Bridge and winner Danny Miller – got to order their favourite meal for their last summer.
But Coronation Street star Simon’s choice didn’t go down too well with fans at home, after he ordered lamb chops with a side of mash and peppercorn sauce.
He explained: “I’ve been hankering after peppercorn sauce.”
Even hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly weren’t convinced, with Simon then adding: “Peppercorn sauce with lamb…. you’ve made me think now.”
Viewers at home couldn’t believe it, with one saying: “Peppercorn sauce with lamb? What fresh sacrilege is that?!”
Another questioned: “Peppercorn sauce with lamb!?”
And a third, sharing a screenshot from Ja’mie Private School girl in which Ja’mie says: “I am so random. I can’t believe I just did that,” tweeted: “Simon adding peppercorn sauce to his lamb chops.”
It was clear that Simon had a thing for peppercorn sauce though, as he joked he wanted some during his grim final trial.
He had to face the last eating trial of the 2021 series and asked for some peppercorn sauce as he got stuck in with his first dish – a pig’s eye.
It sounds like it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been though, as the actor said: “Tasted like you’ve left a pork scratching in your pocket for a week.”
Next up, Simon had to endure a goat tongue – the first time the disgusting dish had been served on I’m A Celeb.
Then he had fermented castle gruel – a fermented egg, tofu, plums and other gross ingredients.
Ant joked: “Imagine it’s a massive bowl of peppercorn sauce.”
But Simon didn’t finish it all in one go and when Ant checked, he told him: “Please sir, can you have some more…”
Simon then had to have a go at sheep’s penis, then cow’s vagina – another first-time serving on the ITV show.
The hosting duo then joked he’d eaten a whole farm, before singing: “Steve McDonald ate a farm…”
Danny and Frankie also managed to finish their trials, so the three of them got to enjoy a slap up dinner on their last night in the castle.
As well as his lamb, Simon also got a prawn cocktail to start, and Eton mess and chocolate for dessert.
Eventual champ Danny opted for halloumi fries, a full English breakfast, a cheeseboard and chocolate.
And third place Frankie chose baked Camembert, roast beef dinner, apple crumble and custard, and white chocolate fingers.
