Adele Roberts was in stitches as she told fans about her Halloween celebrations being derailed by her leaking stoma bag.
The former I’m A Celebrity star, 42, recently revealed that she had a stoma bag fitted during her treatment for bowel cancer.
The BBC Radio One presenter has credited the bag with have “helped save her life”, however she confessed that she’s discovered the heroic bag comes with some rather unpleasant side effects.
Taking to Instagram Story on Monday, Adele recalled an amusing evening that took a turn for the worse when her life-saving stoma bag started leaking all over the place.
She said: “Morning my loves, hope you’re all doing good. I’m just grateful to be waking up dry this morning.”

She proceeded to hold up a full-looking plastic bag as she said: “This is the result of last night.
“My stoma was extremely knotty. Oh my god, Kate [Holderness] pretty much had to be a plumber.
She started laughing as she said: “We had a leak so many times. God knows how many bags were in here, I think we went through three stoma bags.”
She explained that a vegetable seemed to be the root cause of the leaking.

She went on: “I got adventurous, got a bit cocky on Halloween and had carrot. Well, I wont’ do that again. Carrot and swede.
“It… well, I’m sure I’ll tell you all about it sometime, you probably don’t wanna hear that on a Monday morning but urm yeah.”
She added: “Thank you so much to everyone who’s been in touch with Stoma tips. Keep ’em coming!”
Concluding the video update, she quipped: “I feel like we need to a driving lesson or something for these things. Or a certificate.”

A stoma is an opening on the abdomen to divert urine or faeces out of the body and into a colostomy bag, and the passage is created by surgery.
The radio host revealed she had been diagnosed with bowel cancer at the end of October, telling her fans that she’d been struggling with her digestion for a while.
In her post, she wrote: “I didn’t think anything of it at first and assumed it might be food sensitivity.
“After a few calls I was sent for some examinations and checks. I was then diagnosed with bowel cancer.”

Showing off her stoma bag in a separate post, Adele thanked the NHS for all of their help.
Adele could be seen smiling in a pink hospital gown as she stood in the mirror, lifting up the gown to reveal the bag.
She explained: “I think this is my favourite selfie ever. I’m rubbish at selfies but I loved taking this one. I’m bruised… I keep finding new holes but I’m recovering and this little stoma bag helped save my life. “
