I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star David Ginola didn’t hide his annoyance as he addressed hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on Saturday night’s programe.
The ex footballer, 54, told the twosome that he wanted to hit them after they’d mocked his performance in the Celebrity Cyclone task.
Newcastle-born presenter Dec couldn’t resist landing a cheeky jibe about the football star being a bit light on his feet.
David had struggled throughout the challenge and in the end Ant and Dec had to call the other fellow campers to his rescue to help him to reach the first marker – which had never happened before in the show’s history.
Poking fun, Dec said: “You went down a bit easily. A bit of a yellow card for simulation.”
In response, David said: “You have been very nasty with me. I know who you are now.”
Once the football icon was no longer visible on camera, Ant, 46, turned to his partner to issue a warning.
Ant joked: “He’s not happy. Not happy at all. He’s going to knock you out.”
As events played out it seemed there wasn’t bad air for long as David was quick to gush praise.
Throughout the entire series Ant and Dec have hailed David as a “legend” and the French footballer decided to repay the same compliment.
Speaking about life in camp, David explained in his exit interview: “It surprised me in a good way and a bad way because obviously it was really really hard.
“The conditions we were living in were very complicated. The food, the sleep, the lack of everything actually.
“But I kept some positive things in my mind, thinking: ‘I’m going to get out of the castle full of love for the people I love very much.’
“I can’t wait to get close to them because it’s a hell of a journey.”
The I’m A Celeb final airs tonight (Sunday, December 12) at 9pm on ITV where Danny Miller, Frankie Bridge or Simon Gregson with be crowned the winner.
