Over the last two decades or so, actress Jennifer Lopez has enjoyed a string of publicised relationships – which often set tongues wagging amongst fans and the press.
The gorgeous star has always been hot property in the romance department throughout the years and has never been short of suitors.
In total, Jennifer has been engaged five times but has been married three times and shares her two children with her last husband Marc Anthony, who she married 17 years ago today (June 5).
Though her romances haven’t always resulted in happy endings, the brunette babe has always been vocal about her quest in finding everlasting love.
Speaking openly about her love life with Harper’s Bazaar in January 2019, JLO said: “For me, the relationship journey has been very up and down. But it didn’t have to do with anybody else but me — it was about me figuring out me.”
As the rumour mill goes into overdrive due to her latest linking with her ex Ben Affleck, Daily Star has taken a look at the popstar’s previous relationships throughout the years.
Ojani Noa
In 1997, a young Jennifer married waiter turned actor Ojani Noa.
At the time, Jennifer was the star of Selena but was still on the come up in the Hollywood scene – this was also similar to Noa’s position in the industry at the time.
Despite being very public with their marriage, it was short-lived and the couple got divorced 11 months later.
But the drama from the split started to emerge years later in 2007 when Noa was issued a permanent injunction that prohibited him from “criticizing, denigrating, casting in a negative light or otherwise disparaging” Jennifer.
In 2016, a single Noa appeared on Millionaire Matchmaker.
P Diddy
Jennifer’s relationship with rapper P Diddy, aka Sean Combs, was one that catapulted her to a different league of stardom.
After meeting on the set of a music video, the couple started dating in the year 1999.
Jennifer and the hip-hop mogul’s relationship was heavily publicised and they were often the talk of the town in Hollywood and around the globe.
During the time the pair were together, the If You Had My Love singer wore her famous green dress alongside P Diddy at the Grammy awards in 2000.
But things turned sour for the twosome and they later split in 2001.
In 2017, the rapper proclaimed that Jennifer was “without a doubt” one of his great loves.
Things are still very amicable between the pair and the former couple still remain friends till today.
Cris Judd
In the year 2000, the Maid in Manhattan actress met dancer Cris Judd on the set of her music video for Love Don’t Cost A Thing.
Not so long after, in September 2001, Jennifer and Cris tied the knot. Despite their happy union, the marriage didn’t last long very long.
By June 2002, the couple called it quits and their divorce was finalised in 2003.
Talking about their relationship in 2014, Judd said: “I can’t give you the answer as to why her relationships don’t work.”
He added: “It’s whether you want to work on it or not. Everyone has baggage and problems. It’s whether you want to deal with those problems.
“When you sign up to get married, you can’t just walk away.”
Judd has remarried since then in 2009 to Kelly Wolfe and they have one daughter named Vivienne.
Ben Affleck
Jennifer’s next relationship with Ben Affleck was very high profile, with the couple frequently placed at the front of newspapers and magazines at the time.
The couple, who were nicknamed “Bennifer” by the press, met while filming the movie Gigli in the early 2000s.
By November 2002, the couple were engaged and Jennifer was happy to flaunt her large yellow diamond engagement ring to fans and the press.
But four days before their wedding, the couple called the ceremony off and later split in January 2004.
In December 2017, the Jenny From The Block singer told Vanity Fair: “My relationship [with Affleck] self-destructed in front of the entire world.”
In 2005, Affleck went on to marry actress Jennifer Garner and they share three children together. However, the couple filed for divorce in 2018.
Recently, Jennifer and Ben have set the rumour mill into overdrive once again, as pictures emerged of the pair together.
In May 2021 a source told US Weekly that the pair are officially back together: “They are full-on dating and very happy together,” the source claimed.
Marc Anthony
Marc Anthony and Jennifer first met backstage at singer Paul Simon’s 1998 Broadway show The Capeman, in which Anthony starred.
However the pair started to become more intimate after J-Lo split from actor Ben Affleck and they eventually married in June 2004.
In 2008, things were still going great for the pair and they welcomed their twins Max and Emme in February of the same year.
But by July 2011, the couple announced that they had split.
Talking to W in April 2016, the singer confessed that she knew the marriage was going downhill.
The star also said: “When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness. It wasn’t the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment and anger.
“But Marc is the father of my children, and that’s never going away. So I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do.”
Beau ‘Casper’ Smart
Four months after she split from Marc, Jennifer moved on and started dating dancer Beau ‘Casper’ Smart in November 2011.
She also hired the dancer as the creative director of her All I Have residency in Las Vegas.
The couple decided to part ways in June 2014, but they continued to date on and off.
But by 2016, the couple decided to officially end their romance but insisted there were no hard feelings from the split.
Drake
Mother of two Jennifer first met Canadian rapper Drake backstage in December 2016 after he attended her All I Have show.
By January 2017, the press claimed that the couple were officially dating and alleged they were “the real deal”.
According to reports, the rapper did not hold back while they dated and allegedly decked out an L.A. church for a makeshift winter wonderland-themed prom where the couple were “crowned” king and queen.
However, in February 2017, the source claimed the pair had split due to Drake having to concentrate on his music career and go on tour.
Alex Rodriguez
Former professional baseball star Alex Rodriguez first hit it off with Jennifer in February 2017.
Things were going great for the pair and reports suggested that they decided to move in with each other in October 2018.
After two years of dating, the ex-Yankee star and businessman announced the couple’s engagement.
The couple’s wedding was postponed several times – though it could have been partly due to the coronavirus pandemic.
