Nicknamed the “Momager”, Kris Jenner rose to fame in the hit TV series Keeping Up With The Kardashians and is involved with the business management of all her children, meaning she has had to adopt a straight talking attitude when it comes to confrontation and learn to speak up for what is right.
Fans grew to love her fun-loving attitude on the family reality show – but also watched as she got things done in business, and life in general.
Over the years, Kris has butted heads with her ex Caitlyn Jenner, son-in-law Kanye West and even James Bond himself, Daniel Craig.
To celebrate the matriarch’s birthday today (November 5), we’re taking a look inside some of her most dramatic feuds.
Caitlyn Jenner
One month after her divorce finalised from her previous husband Robert Kardashian, Kris married former Olympic athlete Caitlyn Jenner – then called Bruce – in April 1991 and the couple had two children together, Kendall and Kylie Jenner.
Two years after they announced their separation in 2015, after 22 years of marriage, Caitlyn publicly came out as transgender.
The family’s reactions were broadcast on their show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, during which Kris met newly transitioned Caitlyn for the first time.
Kris has said that she struggled with this after more than 20 years of marriage and on her partner’s initial transition, Kris said: “We didn’t know how to process that — and it was a process, it was a shock, and then it was a reality, and it was something that we had to absorb and try to wrap our heads around and learn about.”
During the season finale of KUWTK, Kris said to Caitlyn: “I just felt thrown under the bridge. I felt like you were so excited to be going through this exciting time in your life, but I felt like… I didn’t want to communicate with you and be angry.”
Caitlyn asked Kris why she felt angry, to which Kris said that it “didn’t matter”.
Later it was revealed that they had gone on to argue about Caitlyn’s Vanity Fair article – in which she officially came out to the world – and Kris said: “I think that it might take some time for Caitlyn and I to see eye-to-eye and understand each other’s feelings.”
When asked about where she currently stands with her ex-partner, Kris said: “I think it’s very respectful. She’s the father of my two kids, so that speaks volumes.”
And in the final season of KUWTK, Kris revealed that she regularly speaks to Caitlyn and gives her career advice.
Kanye West
Rapper Kanye West was married to Kris’ daughter Kim Kardashian for six years and they had four children together – North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm – before filing for a divorce earlier this year.
Kanye took to Twitter in 2020 and compared his mother-in-law Kris to North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un in a rant amid concerns for his mental health.
In his bizarre tweet, the rapper wrote: “I been trying to get divorced since Kim met with Meek at the Waldorf for ‘prison reform’ […] This my lady tweet of the night … Kris Jong-Un. [sic]”
He had previously tweeted a screenshot of his texts with Kris, captioning it with: “This is Ye. You ready to talk now or are you still avoiding my calls.”
After sharing the texts with his followers, Kanye then tweeted: “Kriss don’t play with me you and that [Corey Gamble] are not allowed around my children. Y’all tried to lock me up. [sic]”
A source told People that “she was most upset that [West] said that Kris isn’t allowed around the kids”.
Wendy Williams
American television host Wendy Williams is known for her opinionated discussions on her chat show The Wendy Williams Show.
Due to her continuous discussions about the famous family, Kris has banned all of her children from making an appearance on the programme and a source said: “Kris is beyond angry at Wendy. There was a time when they were on good terms but not anymore. Wendy is dead to Kris, she’s dead to the whole family.”
Wendy has previously discussed Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy and her relationship with Stormi’s father Travis Scott, slamming Scott by saying he’s a deadbeat dad and doesn’t take responsibility.
The source continued: “Kris has put a lifelong ban on them ever appearing on Wendy‘s show or anything she’s affiliated with. And they’re taking it a step further and asking all their friends to boycott her show as well.”
Daniel Craig
James Bond actor Daniel Craig has also felt Kris’ fire.
During an interview with GQ magazine in 2011, the British 007 was asked about his thoughts surrounding Kim Kardashian’s divorce from her now ex-husband Kris Humphries a mere 72 days after their wedding.
Craig said: “You see that and you think, ‘What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a f***ing idiot on television and then you’ll pay me millions?’ I’m not judging it. Well, I am, obviously.”
Kris Jenner hit back at the actor in an interview with Heat magazine: “It’s not made him look like the world’s nicest guy.
“The right thing for a real man to do now would be to issue a public apology. The easy thing would be to criticise his career now, but our family won’t stoop to that level.”
