Inside LadBaby's impressive £1.2m net worth and career as he marks turning 34

From winning Celebrity Dad Of The Year to attaining three consecutive Christmas number ones, graphic designer and youtube star Ladbaby has certainly lived an adventurous, rollercoaster of a life.

So, to welcome in his 34th birthday we take a look back at the star’s most iconic career moments to date and how it all began.

Mark Ian Hoyle also known as LadBaby, is a British lifestyle blogger and YouTuber from Nottingham, England. The star currently still lives in Nottingham with his wife Roxanne and two sons Phoenix Forest and Kobe Notts.

In 2016, while Roxanne was pregnant with her first child, Mark decided to create a blog which he called LadBaby.

The blogs centred around Mark, a ‘lad’, turning into a dad for the very first time.

The star began documenting the day-to-day life of his wife and himself which attracted several viewers worldwide.

LadBaby’s video content, which he uploaded onto Facebook and his YouTube account, consists primarily of blogs in which Mark exhibits life hacks and advice for those hoping to save money with potentially costly parenting tasks.

Speaking frankly about his humble beginnings to Nottingham live in 2017, Mark said: “I started blogging because I found out my wife was pregnant and I didn’t have a clue about kids how to raise kids even have to hold kids.

“She said I should read lots of books but nothing I found was talking on a normal dad level.”

He continued: “It was when I started doing more video content is when it exploded.”

The star’s career has seen his net worth skyrocket over the last few years, with Company Check claiming he is now worth a whopping £1.2million.

In comparison, in 2018 he was valued at £71,339 and in 2019 it was at £498,076.

The website also states that they currently have £1.4m in assets in 2020, which was valued at £654,949.00 in 2019.

Though the star has generated massive success on Youtube and other social platforms, things haven’t always been so easy for Mark and Roxanne.

Last year, wife Roxanne spoke publicly about not having enough money to make ends meet. The Youtube wife broke down as she recalled the moments when she and Mark were struggling and living on £20 a week for food when times were at their toughest.

Teary-eyed, Roxanne explained: “You wanna give your kids everything, you wanna put food on the table and stuff. At the time I was thinking, “thank you” and I just wanted to hug him. He was a stranger so I was just like thank you, I couldn’t say enough.

“There’s nothing to be embarrassed of. People can say what they want.

“I don’t want anyone to be at a checkout panicking or sitting at the dinner table watching their kids eat going “right they’re eating” and they’ve got nothing in front of them. There are a lot of people who don’t eat because they want to feed their kids. People can judge but I don’t want people to feel embarrassed because I’m not. “

Talking about the charity single that she released with Mark in 2020, Roxanne added: “That’s why I want people to get the song, because 100 per cent of the profits go to The Trussell Trust.”

The couple can now comfortably look forward to the future as they enjoy the monumental success from their blogs and Youtube content.

Since they started blogging five years ago LadBaby’s Youtube channel has accumulated 1million subscribers, he’s also achieved 3.9million likes on his Facebook page and has 1.5million followers on Instagram.

Ladbaby has had three consecutive number ones

In 2018, following an online public vote, Mark Hoyle won Clas Ohlson’s 2018 “Celebrity Dad of the Year” award, beating the likes of Prince William who was also up for the award at the time.

Nine months later, wife Roxanne followed suit and won Clas Ohlson’s 2019 “Celebrity Mum of the Year” award, beating Holly Willoughby, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and others.

The couple have also had major success in the UK pop charts by reaching the number one spot three consecutive years in a row for their Christmas singles We Built This City, I love Sausage Rolls and Don’t Stop Me Eating.

Lad baby is the third act to achieve three consecutive Christmas No1s, alongside The Beatles and Spice Girls.

As well as his own Youtube vlogs, Mark also created a spin-off version with his sons, Phoenix and Kobe which has also accumulated massive success.
