Inside Love Island fridge as fans quiz cast on diet – McDonald's to endless chips

Love Island contestants are regularly seen whipping up their own breakfast, but viewers never really see the cast sitting down for meals together.

While It’s almost become a tradition for boys of the villa to make the girls coffee first thing in the morning, many have been left wondering what they eat for lunch and dinner.

Curious fans have been quizzing the islanders about what they eat and where their food comes from.

Love Island babe Anna Vakili chatted to Daily Star on Facebook Live, revealing: “They bring and cater trays of food but you can’t cook a meal, there’s only ham slices, cheese slices, toast and eggs so you can make a toastie!”

She also revealed: “A cleaner comes about once a week, but we do all the cleaning up ourselves!”

In 2019, viewers went into meltdown after spotting a McDonald’s McFlurry in the freezer.

The revealing moment came when Ovie Soko opened the freezer to retrieve his hat, which he’d left in there to cool it down.

Fans immediately took to social media to question why on earth it was in there.

Former Love Island contestant Anton Danyluk recently revealed: “I think it was about once a week we were getting them. I had a few chicken nuggets here and there. Belle was trying to fatten me up, before the next bombshell came in.”

2018 series winner Dani Dyer revealed that the contestants are provided with trays of food and deliveries but the fridge always remains stocked with the basics.

Speaking to Hello, Dani said: “There are no menus, it is catering, so obviously breakfast and stuff you cook yourself, so you have like eggs, bacon, toast and that kind of stuff. Then lunch and dinner are buffet.”

She then reassured that “the fridge has always got meats and cheeses and that kind of stuff, and there is always snacks”.

Dani also reassured fans that they are well-fed and provided with healthy food options such as salad and fish: “There are salads, meat and fish, but you would end up eating their chips because the chips were so nice.

“You would go that day, and honestly, I used to say to Samira, ‘please don’t let me eat the chips today’.

“I mean honestly, I was eating chips every day, I realised I shouldn’t be doing that.”
