Jackass star Sean McInerney suffers horror shark bite while wakeboarding

Last Sunday the infamous Jackass gang got back together for a very special Shark Week on Discovery.

Sean McInerney, known as ‘Poopies,’ is one of the newest members of the crew and one of his stunts went dangerously wrong.

He attempted a wakeboard jump over shark-infested waters but failed to land.

Instead, he landed in a swarm of hungry sharks and got his hand bitten.

Jackass legend Steve-O said that tendons and arteries in Sean’s hand had to be reattached in surgery.

‘Poopies’, however, remains unfazed by the horrific accident and said: “I was in their living room, and it was dinnertime.”

He went down a ramp fell into the water and almost immediately the crew raced to get him out.

They attached a tourniquet to his injured hand and raced him to medical care.

Steve-O, real name Stephen Glover, initially said: “This was only one bite in one spot?

“And he’s not missing anything?”

He later changed his mind and told Steve WillDoIt that Sean had been “mangled” and it was worse than it looked.

Perhaps a humbling reminder of the danger they inflict on themselves, Chris Pontius, another Jackass member said: “He would be f**king dead if they didn’t dive on him as fast as they did.

“Jesus, he got wrecked by a shark! For a Shark Week episode!

“It’s a reminder that yeah, like, we are pushing it pretty hard. And this could happen, of course.”

He went on: “It’s either, like, everything’s okay or this happens. And hopefully, it’s always everything’s okay, everything’s okay. But then… you know, this time it’s not okay.”

Sean, aka ‘Poopies,’ seemed relatively okay as he said: “’I definitely got a degree in shark college there.

“I knew there was a chance I was going to get bit by a shark, but I didn’t think it was going to happen.”

Viewers were in shock and awe, as is the norm for Jackass stunts.

One said: “‘The new guy from the Jackass crew, named Poopies, got bit by a shark. Honestly, it was some really good content. and always deliver! #SharkWeek2021.”
