James Corden quit moshing after being covered in urine while at Leeds Festival

James Corden says he was once covered in urine while moshing at a festival.

The Late Late Show presenter, 42, says he moshed at a concert just once – but soon quit after getting drenched in revellers’ urine.

Corden said he was excited about seeing The Libertines at Leeds Festival in 2010, so pushed to the front.

In less than a minute he was doused by a cup of what he thought was beer – but turned out to be pee.

He said: “We could not believe we were seeing the Libertines and we were like ‘let’s do it, let’s do it’.

“After 35 seconds a plastic cup of beer just landed bang on my head.

“And it was then I realised that was not beer. True story – it was full of p***.”

Corden was speaking on his US telly series The Late Late Show.

Earlier this month, James Corden admitted he looked like a “p****” after agreeing to star in the film adaptation of Cats.

The chat show host said he struggled to get reception at CBS Studios in Los Angeles, which was where he took the call about doing the movie role.

He claimed he often experiences poor reception there – and that is why he lost the “middle part” of the conversation about the movie.

Talking about being “in the elevator and not knowing when it will cut out,” Corden said: “I always try to talk just before that bit and I go ‘yeah go on’ – and you miss about five seconds of the conversation and it is fine.

“All I heard was Judi Dench, Ian McKellen.

“And what I missed was ‘you are going to be dressed like a cat, you are gonna dance around looking like a p***k.’

“Idris Elba, Taylor Swift – yeah, I’m in. I will do it. Damn that elevator.”
