Jeff Brazier worries son Bobby will pursue reality TV career like mum Jade Goody

Jeff Brazier has opened up about the possibility of his eldest child, Bobby, pursuing a career in reality television.

The tele presenter who shares his two sons with the late Big Brother icon, Jade Goody, worries that their children could land themselves a career in the public eye.

Jeff, 41, found fame on the 2001 series of Channel 4’s Shipwrecked while Jade, who died in 2009 aged just 27, became a household name after her stint in the Big Brother house back in 2002.

Tele regular Jeff hopes that their sons, Bobby, 17, and Freddie, 16, will avoid the likes of Love Island if they step into the showbiz industry.

Bobby has already signed with an elite modelling agency which saw him land a spot walking for the renowned fashion house, Dolce & Gabanna during Milan Fashion Week in 2020.

Speaking to The Sun, the dad-of-two said: “Have I ever had a conversation with Bobby about what he’s going to do and completely fretted about the fact he might experience anything like what myself or his mum has done?

“Yeah, I’ve spent quite a lot of time worrying about that.”

While reflecting on the decision Bobby could make between a high profile modelling career or becoming a reality star, Jeff added: “We’ve had the conversation so many times, it’s very obvious which one I prefer, but it’s not me making the decision – it would be scary.

“My thing to him is, ‘You can’t do both. So which do you want to do? Are you going to show some patience, back yourself and ignore the offers that you are inevitably going to get?'”

Essex-born Jeff has brought his two sons up to understand that if they were to be known in the eye of the media, it should be for having a talent or a skill rather than for being an influencer or appearing on a television show.

The cheeky chap had previously revealed that his two sons have a vast number of followers on social media and are able to deal with the trolling that comes with having such a large platform.

Bobby who uses his Instagram to share an insight into his high-flying career and a peek at his private life boasts 85,100 followers, while younger brother Freddie who also works as a model has just over 22,300 followers on Instagram.
