Jennifer Aniston's unusual nickname unveiled by pal Courteney Cox in sweet post

Courteney Cox has revealed her unusual nickname for best friend Jennifer Aniston.

It’s no secret the pair have remained very close pals ever since meeting on hit sitcom Friends, where Jen played Rachel Green and Courteney played Monica Geller.

They’ve been pals since Friends first aired back in 1994, meaning their friendship has spanned more than 25 years.

And as Jen celebrated turning 52 last week, her BFF Court, 56, has finally revealed the adorable – albeit unusual – name she calls the Hollywood icon.

Sharing a sweet throwback snap of the pair on Instagram, Court and Jen can be seen smiling from ear to ear as Courteney’s daughter Coco – who is Jen’s godchild – sleep in between them.

“Happy Birthday Jenny Louise! We’ve known each other so long I don’t even remember why I call you that,” Courteney wrote alongside the snap.

The 56-year-old added: “I love you!”

Adding to the mystery, the moniker doesn’t appear to derive from Jen’s middle name either as it’s Joanna.

Fans were left confused at the “random” nickname, although the mystery proved just how close the pair are.

It comes as Jen and Courteney are set to reunite with the entire Friends cast for a highly-anticipated reunion of the hit sitcom.

The pair are set to join pals Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer for a one-off episode that’s been delayed due to the raging pandemic.

The final episode of the sitcom aired in 2004, making it more than 17 years old but still a popular hit among the young crowd.

The final season of the series saw each of the famous six rake in $1million per episode, meaning this reunion is also set to line their pockets up – not that they need it.

To this day, the stars earn two per cent each of the syndication revenue Friends whips up, which is millions as Friends episodes are constantly being rerun on TVs around the world.
