JLS chasing Christmas number one following LadBaby having success four years in a row

JLS are chasing Christmas number one after LadBaby has success.

The boyband have confirmed they would like another shot at the number one chart position next year after their only festive song, Do You Feel What I Feel, only reached number 16 a decade ago.

Charity campaign champion Ladbaby will give the British group a run for their money after landing his fourth consecutive number one this year with Sausage Rolls for Everyone alongside Elton John and Ed Sheeran.

JLS is made up of Oritse Williams, JB Gill, Marvin Humes and Aston Merrygold.

Speaking to The Sun, JB discussed the bands goals for next year.

He said: “We always have a list of achievements we want to strive for and a Christ- mas No1 is on there.

“You don’t know what the future holds and we always think the best way to look at everything is by being in the here and now. But there are loads of things we want to achieve.”

In 2008, the band found fame after winning The X Factor and announced last year they would be getting back together following a seven-year hiatus.

Ori added: “A stadium tour would be great! When the four of us come together and we put our energy into something — magic happens.

“We are a real group, it’s not just for show. People say on stage that when we move, we move like one organism. When you’re in it, you don’t see it, but you feel it. As a group we can do great things.”

Recently the band have dropped a new album JLS 2.0 since getting back together.

The album went straight to number four in the charts.

JLS have made it clear they have more planned in the coming year following headlining at London’s O2 Arena and performing on a nationwide tour.

Looking back on their career, Aston added: “We have become a household name from us being four boys standing in a dusty room in Fulham.

“We were told by every single person that boy bands don’t work. But we are four hard-working, focused men and we’ll keep giving it our all. The sky’s the limit for us.”
